At the moment we are cutting down trees, which does not fulfil the criteria’s for becoming a Christmas tree. The openings in the culture will be sown with clover because the clover binds nitrogen which the remaining trees can use for growth.
The clover is also reducing the growth of other forms of weed.
To sow clover in a field with rows of x-mas trees requires a special technic which we have used the last couple of years to develop. It’s actual a used plastic bottle in a string with holes in the bottom. It works excellent.
