The organisational structure can be enhanced with exactly the information your personnel administrators and other users need for getting a perfect view of the master data so they can secure your data quality. Most SAP HR installation have the standard layout of displaying the organisational structure through transaction PPOMW, PPOMA_CRM or PPOME with an overview of basis data, such as org structure, positions and persons assigned. but SAP has actual delivered a full customising packages, so each customer has the opportunity to customise the layout and functionality of the organisational structure. The advantage of customising the organisational structure is to focus on important data. Many functions in SAP HCM and other applications are dependent on the master data quality in day to day work such as workflows, authorisations and HCM functions. To set focus on information such as job assigned to positions, cost centers, or other attributes, you will have to add this information to the overview area for your users. When this information is added to the overview area the super users will be presented for the information instead of searching for it. The end user will have the opportunity to set up what they want displayed or you can from central competence center decide what your super users must be presented for. Each user can specify what they want to see through the column configuration. The normal information available in the organisational structure through transactions PPOME or PPOSE is showed here below. It contains information of org unit, position and employee, which jobs there is assigned to the positions and which positions has been marked as a manager position. Then compare it to the screen shoot below where we have customized the framework for the organisational structure Below you can see the appearance of the organisational structure when you have added additional fields to the framework. With a simple customizing you will be able to see all kind of master data for your org units, positions and employee so you quickly have an overview of the data quality.   through the customising points in hierachy framework you can define your own column groups and content of these.
