The assignment of roles to users can be used for securing compliance and licensing. In SAP HCM you have an option for reports which gives you exact information of the users organisational assignment and control the role assignment.
The datamodel for roles can be used for business control. If you need to control the assignment of roles to a user, you might need to see specific master data of the employees such as assignments to organisational structure, personnel structure or the enterprise structure.
